About the program
In 2022 we will be launching our Youth Female Coach Development Program. This program is aimed at females aged between 14 and 22 years that have an interest in coaching.
Throughout this program, participants will complete the following education:
- Grassroots Coaching Certificate
- Skills Training Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Communication and Leadership Workshop
By being a participant of this program, coaches will gain hands on coaching experience and support as they gain the skills and confidence to coach in different environments.
Participants will commit to two events per school holiday period for the duration of the year (see dates below). One event is tailored to upskill the coach through either a course or workshop, the second event is an opportunity to be a paid coach at a CDSFA holiday clinic. There are also coaching opportunities throughout the year including Female Football Week, gala days, Sydney FC programs and skills training sessions.
All program costs will be covered by the CDSFA.

- Tuesday April 12th 2022 - Skills Training Certificate
- Friday 13th May 2022 - Female Football Festival (coaching opportunity)
- Tuesday 26th July 2022 - Communciation and Leadership Workshop
- Tuesday 2nd August 2022 - Coaching opportunity
- Friday 2nd September 2022 - Coaching opportunity
- Tuesday 18th October 2022 - First Aid course
- Tuesday 25th October 2022 - Coaching opportunity
Criteria
- Female aged between 14 and 22 years
- Will be registered as either a coach or player at a CDSFA club in 2022
- Must be willing to volunteer minimum of 5 hours coaching at a local club throughout the 2022 winter season
- Available to attend 80% of the set dates for courses and events
- Currently hold no coaching accreditation in football or up to a Skills Training Certificate
