Enfield Rovers Football club (ERFC) was established in 1961 as a volunteer-driven community club affiliated with the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association.

Over the years the club has grown and achieved on many occasions the club champions trophy, which is based on overall team performances throughout the year.

The club can also boast many Champion of Champions trophies won over the years, among its competitive first division teams which competed with other districts within NSW.

ERFC has implemented a Little Rovers program for boys and girls starting from three years of age and has extended a development program which runs all year round.

The club continues to focus on all its various age groups and all levels and ability.

It has players as young as four and a half years of age playing in under-6 teams, to 65 year olds playing in over-45 competitions.

The teams are for all grades/ages for both male and female players and ERFC is represented in CDSFA’s flagship men’s competition the Bill Brackenbury Cup, which offers junior players a pathway.

The club is also fortunate enough to have some of the best ground facilities in the district with four large fields, one mini for the under-8 and under-9 teams and a half field for its under-10 and under-11 teams.

ERFC’s under-6 and under-7 sides play in a club competition format against other clubs in the district that are 15-20 mins in proximity to Henley Park.

Renovations on the amenities building as well as the renewing/improving of the large fields have now completed.

Since January 2020, ERFC has access to an additional half-sized all weather field for its players’ use.

ERFC also offers a summer soccer competition for ages five to 45 to keep players fit and engaged during the off-season.

Over the years the club has produced many excellent players that have progressed to top level football including former Socceroo, Brett Holman, who played at ERFC for seven years before he embarked on a successful career in top flight football both in Australia and abroad.

Holman still drops in at Henley Park occasionally, taking the time to speak to the club’s players every time he comes to Sydney.

ERFC’s executive committee endeavours to continuously improve and expand its volunteer base to enable the club to continue its progress and to fulfill its goal of having qualified coaches for every team in the coming years.

Everyone is welcome in the ERFC football family, with past junior players that have grown up now registering their own children with the club to start them on their football journey.
