Since 1958 Football Club Five Dock has been providing local kids with the opportunity to play football in a fun, safe and family-oriented environment. Today we cater for all ages and welcome all skill levels.

Historically, the club has been through quite a bit since its formation in 1958.

Although officially established as an auxiliary of Five Dock RSL Club in 1958, the Club’s roots date back to 1956.

Following a meeting advertised in the local newspaper, local parents formed the Five Dock Soccer Club.

Most of the players’ fathers were returned servicemen and members of the Five Dock RSL Club.

The RSL in those days were more social meeting places where the surviving members of the various branches of the services, could hold their meetings each month.

Due to the strong connection to the RSL and the high cost of running the club, the committee decided to approach the RSL Club for sponsorship.

The board of the RSL Club accepted the sponsorship proposal and the mighty Five Dock RSL Soccer Club was born.

Today, the Club has grown to almost 650 registered players ranging from under-6 to over-35.

Predominately a social sporting club whose main aim is fun and participation, Five Dock is proud of its family-oriented heritage and is looking forward to continuing this tradition.
