Marrickville Football Club (MFC) is a community sports club based in Sydney’s Inner West. The Club has more than 2,000 registered members, with teams competing in the CDSFA.

The club, affectionately known as The Red Devils, was founded in 1945 by Bruce Livingston and Arthur Ireland.

In 1946, the club officially formed and entered two teams in the CDSFA, an under-12 team and an under-14 team.

Marrickville FC won the Club championship in 1983,1985,1987 & 1989.

Its traditional kit comprises red shirts, white shorts and red socks.

In the last few years, the club has moved to red shorts. Mackey Park has been its home ground since 1958.

Stable and forward-thinking administration has seen the number of teams steadily grow over the years and today, Marrickville FC is one of the largest community sports clubs in New South Wales.

MFC is a well-recognised and trusted community football club throughout the Inner West enjoying strong local support that attracts players from all over Sydney.

Teams range from the under-6s through to the over-45s, which includes all-boys, all-girls and mixed teams in junior, womens and mens teams.

MFC is also proud of its All Abilities Football Team for individuals with disabilities.

The Club strongly supports and encourages skill acquisition and development and offers a number of programs to improve both players’ and coaches’ on-field performance and encourages members to become official referees through partnership with Canterbury Referees Association (CRA).

In 2021 MFC started its own Development Program for its members with 11 teams.

It also introduced ‘Kick On For Women’, with the support of the Inner West Council. This attracted more than 40 women to the program which the club has confirmed, will continue.

Marrickville FC introduced Marrickville Football 5s in 2019. This summer competition has grown and has 124 teams in its third year.

The Club’s alumni include one of the Australia’s most celebrated Socceroos, Tim Cahill and Western Sydney Wanderers defender Tass Mourdoukoutas, who both played at MFC as juniors.
