Local live sites to watch the Matildas

Published Wed 26 Jul 2023

Thanks to the support of local clubs and both Inner West and Canterbury/Bankstown councils, local football fans are spoilt for choice of where to cheer on the Matildas in their final two group matches.

After the 1-0 victory over Ireland last week, Australia will be looking to solidify their standing at the top of Group B when they face Nigeria on Thursday, before their final group game against Canada next Monday. Both matches kick off at 8pm.

On Thursday, Cooks River Titans (in partnership with Canterbury/Bankstown Council) and APIA Leichardt JFC (with Inner West Council) will both be hosting live sites for fans to attend and get behind the Matildas. All events are alcohol free.

And on Monday, Pratten Park will be awash with Matildas fans thanks to Ashfield Pirates and Inner West Council.
