Three players who played juniors for a Football Canterbury club were selected in last week’s Young Socceroos’ camp.

Alessandro Lopane, Peter Grozos, and Nectar Triantis were all included in the 30-man squad where new coach Trevor Morgan as well as Olyroos coach Tony Vidmar were able to run their eyes over them.

As well as the camp, the squad played in a talent identification match on Wednesday 10 August.

Peter Grozos, who is currently signed with Newcastle Jets, started his career at Enfield Rovers while also playing for Inter Lions in 2010.

Alessandro Lopane – currently wearing the Red & Black of Western Sydney Wanderers – played for two clubs in Football Canterbury junior competitions: Leichhardt Saints in 2010 and APIA Leichhardt Juniors in 2011.

Finally, Central Coast Mariners’ Nectar Triantis played for Canterbury Juniors in 2010 and 2011.
