IAN HOLMES OAM
Football Canterbury’s own Ian Holmes has been recognised for his substantial contributions to football (particularly community football) in the Australia Day 2026 Honours list.
Ian is the recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).
For the first time since 2011, Associations within Football NSW will have the opportunity in 2026 to field true representative teams when the Association Championships are conducted in Mudgee in July.
A huge congratulations to Football Canterbury CEO Trent Thomas on being globally recognised as a Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions (PMC) Ambassador by the International Olympic Committee 👏
These fields would be delivered using modern technology and cork infill, which has already been successfully implemented at other all-weather surfaces in the Inner West and across Sydney, including at Lambert Park and Tempe Reserve. The design would seek to incorporate disability access for a range of sporting activities.

OASIS Masters Football is sending two Australian teams, 34 players, to the 70+ & 75+ Football World Cup.
We would like to ask for some financial help for some of the players and the team overall.
50 years ago, in June 1974, Australia for the first time had a Socceroo's team make it to a Football World Cup Tournament, this was held in Germany.
